Lamictal (Lamotrigine) is an anticonvulsant used alone or with other medicines to treat seizure disorders. Use of lamotrigine in children age 2 to 15 years of age is restricted to those having certain types of seizures (partial or Lennox-Gastaut type). What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Lamictal? • In rare cases Lamictal has been associated with severe and/ or life-threatening rashes and hypersensitivity reactions. If you chew these tablets drink a small amount of water or diluted fruit juice to aid in swallowing.
